Inter Miami-D.C. United Preview

About the only things missing from Inter Miami CF's debut in the MLS were a goal and a victory.

But coming off a credible performance against last year's Supporters' Shield Winner, the Herons try again for their first point and win in club history Saturday at D.C. United.

One of two new franchises in the league this season, Inter Miami (0-1-0) clearly faced higher expectations given the star power of the franchise - starting at the top with team president David Beckham. But the on-field product, which showed a sensible balance of MLS veteran players around an international Designated Player and playmaker, showed the Herons could be capable of meeting such expectations.
