St Andrews (United Kingdom) (AFP) - American Dustin Johnson led the British Open by one shot Friday as India's Anirban Lahiri began brightly with a birdie, after a heavy downpour delayed play for more than three hours.

Johnson is not set to tee off until 5:48 pm local time (1648 GMT), which will give his namesake Zach Johnson -- who is one of six players one shot back on six under and tees off at 11:14 am -- a chance to overtake his fellow American.
