Indians relief pitcher Miller named MVP of ALCS

Indians reliever Andrew Miller was named MVP of the American League Championship Series after pitching 7u2154 innings of shutout relief over four games to help Cleveland advance to its first World Series since 1997.

Miller finished the series having registered three holds and one save, allowing three hits, no runs and no walks as the Indians beat the Toronto Blue Jays in five games to win their sixth pennant.

Acquired from the New York Yankees in a midseason trade, Miller struck out 14 of the 26 Blue Jays he faced, bringing his postseason total to 21.
