Thomas Bach, the International Olympic Committee president, said India was not ready to bid for the 2024 Olympics but could be a candidate to host the Games in the future. Bach spoke after meeting in New Delhi with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also said India needed to be better prepared before bidding for the Games.
