Re “The Most Cursed Sports Cities in America,” June 8: As president of the W.N.B.A. and an avid fan of women’s basketball, I was disappointed by your decision to neglect the achievements of several prominent W.N.B.A. champions.
Among the markets cited for their many years of futility were Minnesota, home of the 2011 and 2013 W.N.B.A. champion Minnesota Lynx; Seattle, home of the 2004 and 2010 W.N.B.A. champion Seattle Storm; Phoenix, home of the defending and three-time W.N.B.A. champion Phoenix Mercury; and Houston, where the Comets became the first W.
