How the Yankees Beat the Twins in Game 2

The Yankees beat up the Minnesota Twins again on Saturday, but that should not come as a surprise to anyone who has watched baseball for the last 16 years. With an 8-2 win in Game 2 of their American League division series, the Yankees recorded their 12th straight postseason win over the Twins.

That mark goes back to Game 2 of their 2004 A.L.D.S. Over all, the Yankees are 15-2 against the Twins in postseason play and have eliminated them from the postseason five times, with a sixth looming on the horizon.

The Twins, who won 101 games during the regular season, have now lost 15 straight postseason games since 2004.
