Hoosier hostility ends in amity between Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman

It might go down as NASCAR's best no-call of the season: Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman are friendly again.

Friday's meeting at Chicagoland ended with the drivers cracking wise with media members after talking to stock car racing disciplinarians. What began as a feud at Richmond ended with jollity.

"We've been friends for a long time so, yeah, it was important for us to be in there and talk about it," Stewart said.

Bygones. A couple Hoosiers got together, settled and left.

"It's just words, right? More often than not we're men of action," Newman said.
