Hideki Matsuyama became the latest PGA Tour star to take his name out of the running for the upcoming Rio Olympics on Sunday.
The 24-year-old Japanese star — who is ranked 17th in the world — cited the Zika virus for his reason to stay home. It's a big blow to the Japanese team, because Yuta Ikeda is the next highest ranked player in the world rankings at No. 89.

Matsuyama joins the likes of Jason Day, Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott — with Jordan Spieth firmly on the fence — to have already stated they will not compete.
