It's not unusual Washington State coach Ernie Kent found himself on the bench before Wednesday's game against Idaho.
It was a bit odd that he was seated with the Vandals, right next to their coach, Don Verlin.
According to The Spokesman-Review, Kent bid $2,000 this offseason at a charity auction in Spokane, Wash., for an all-access pass to one of Idaho's games this season: the opportunity be at the Vandals' pregame activities, including the shootaround, meal and team talk in the locker room — as well as on the bench with the chance to even call the first play of the game.
