Fan behavior has become a hot topic in the NBA this season. From young children running onto the court to hug their favorite player to the New York Knicks ejecting a fan from a game and the infamous purple shirt guy at the Miami Heat-Charlotte Hornets playoff game, fans are having an impact on games.
Full disclosure here, I am a Charlotte Hornets season-ticket holder and have seats in close proximity to the "purple shirt guy." Once this season, my wife and I sat directly behind him at another (ironically) Heat-Hornets game. My wife and I actually enjoyed the banter between him and a couple of the Miami players.
