Heat Suspend Dion Waiters 10 Games for Conduct Detrimental to the Team

Just days after being treated for a medical emergency on a flight from Phoenix to Los Angeles, the Miami Heat have suspended guard Dion Waiters for 10 games, citing conduct detrimental to the team.

The move marks Waiters’ second suspension of the season and comes just days after the Syracuse product had a panic attack on the team plane. Waiters reportedly passed out on the flight after consuming a THC-infused edible. Upon being woken up in L.A., the Heat guard had a seizure.

Waiters missed Miami’s game in Phoenix because of a stomach ache and reportedly was seeking relief when he took the edible.
