Groundskeeper guru offers tip for Super Bowl turf trouble: 'change cleats'

Groundskeeper guru George Toma isn't buying into the Super Bowl 50 turf controversy.

According to Toma, who has worked on the field at every Super Bowl, there haven't been many better fields in the history of the championship game than the one this past Sunday at Levi's Stadium.

"I’m an 87-year-old man and I’ve been in this game for 74 years and been to 50 Super Bowls," Toma told CSNBayArea.com Wednesday. "And I thought this was the second-best sod we’ve had at a Super Bowl.
