CINCINNATI - Zack Greinke's 35 2/3-inning scoreless streak won't be on the line Tuesday night. But he'll be going to work just the same, as a dominant first half resulted in him earning the start for the National League in the All-Star Game at Great American Ball Park.
NL Manager Bruce Bochy anointed Greinke the starter on Monday after the Los Angeles Dodger posted a 1.39 ERA - best in the major leagues. He has not given up a run since June 13.
Greinke will be opposed by Houston Astros lefty Dallas Keuchel, who has had a great first half in his own right, but is also conveniently available.
