Greg Biffle will race a special Hooters throwback paint scheme during the Sept. 4 Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway, and the promotion is for two good causes.

Biffle will honor the late Alan Kulwicki, who won the 1992 NASCAR Cup championship driving the Hooters-sponsored car. Biffle and Hooters also have teamed up to help petition Congress to recognize local and national heroes by creating a National First Responders Day.
“I was a huge Alan Kulwicki fan, so this is a really special opportunity to get to honor him in this way,” said Biffle, a 14-year veteran who has 19 Cup victories.
