NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has upheld New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's four-game Deflategate suspension.
Citing the Wells Report and information disclosed by Brady and his representatives at a June 23 appeal hearing, Goodell concluded on Tuesday "Brady was aware of, and took steps to support, the actions of other team employees to deflate game footballs below the levels called for by the NFL's Official Playing Rules," the league said in a statement.
After the quarterback's 10-hour appeal hearing at the NFL's New York offices last month, Brady's NFL Players Association-appointed attorney, Jeffrey Kessler, told reporters, "I think we put in a very compelling case.
