Georgia Southern suspends player for chugging beer atop moving team bus

There’s never a dull moment in college football.

On Monday, Georgia Southern athletic director Jared Benko spoke with local reporters about the firing of head coach Chad Lunsford. During that news conference, Benko revealed that Gavin Adcock, a senior defensive lineman, has been suspended indefinitely.

The reason: Adcock was captured catching a beer from a fan and then chugging it while standing atop the team bus (which was moving) before Saturday’s game against Louisiana. Yes, really.

According to WSAV, Benko said Adcock’s behavior was “not acceptable” and that he will be subjected to the university’s student disciplinary process.
