Rush Propst head-butted one of his own players during a 52-31 state semifinal victory over Mill Creek. The Georgia Professional Standards Commission has suspended Propst for one year for making contact with a student, the Moultrie Observer reported Thursday.

The headbutt resulted in Propst bleeding from his forehead because the player he hit was wearing a helmet. Propst is appealing and will be allowed to work with his team this summer until the appeal is heard.
