Often times the price for the highest paid tight end in football matches the talent on the field. Or it's at least in the same range. Today we were reminded of that with 49ers All Pro tight end George Kittle receiving an extension that makes him the NFL's highest paid tight end.

The deal pays Kittle over $19 million per season along with $40 million guaranteed.

Kittle has earned every penny of this new deal. He's a six-time Pro Bowler and two-time All Pro with four 1000-yard seasons under his belt.
