Gamecocks at Tigers Saturday, September 12th, 2015

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) Peyton Barber ran 4 yards for a touchdown on No. 6 Auburn's first possession in overtime and the Tigers dodged a major upset with a 27-20 win over FCS power Jacksonville State.

Melvin Ray's leaping 10-yard catch in the right corner of the end zone with less than 1 minute remaining in regulation saved Auburn (2-0) from a stunning loss that would have been among the biggest upsets in college football.

Troymaine Pope's 5-yard touchdown run with less than 6 minutes remaining gave Jacksonville State a 20-13 lead.
