The talent churn at ESPN is reaching into the highest level of the executive suite. John Wildhack, the network's top content/programming executive behind ESPN president John Skipper, accepted the job as Syracuse University's next Athletic Director.

Wildhack, currently executive vice president of programming & production at ESPN, was announced as the new AD Wednesday by Syracuse Chancellor Kent Syverud. The 1980 alumnus of Syracuse's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications will take over as AD in August. Wildhack was recommended by the school's Director of Athletics Search Committee.
