Former U.S. soccer star Lauren Holiday will have surgery to remove a brain tumor recently discovered by doctors, according to the Times-Picayune.
Holiday, who is married to New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday, will have the procedure six weeks after giving birth to the couples’ daughter. The tumor is operable and Holiday is expected to make a full recovery.
The tumor is not expected to have an affect on the health of the unborn child.
Holiday will undergo the procedure at the Duke University hospital, and the family will relocate to Raleigh during her recovery period.
