Former Steelers star faces uphill challenge on new team

When former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris signed with the Los Angeles Chargers, I'm sure he saw it as an opportunity. An opportunity to be the featured back in an offense with a franchise quarterback and an excellent offensive line. A chance to finally take that next step and put himself among the league's top running backs.

Then the 2025 NFL draft happened.

Despite signing Harris, the Chargers still spent the No. 22 overall pick on former North Carolina running back Omarion Hampton. Hampton was dominant last season and is one of those rare combinations of size, agility and acceleration.
