Former NASCAR driver Bryan Clauson in critical condition after horrific crash

Former NASCAR driver Bryan Clauson was airlifted to a Nebraska hospital after a crash during a midget race on Saturday night, according to Racer.com.

Clauson, 27, has raced in the Indianapolis 500 three times. He also has 26 starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Clauson had just taken the lead in the annual Belleville Nationals sprint midget race when he caught lapped traffic and crashed into the fence after being hit by a lapped car, according to the report.
