Kyren Lacy, an LSU wide receiver and NFL draft prospect, was found dead in Houston. Lacy was 24.
A cause of death was not announced, but WAFB reported it was a suspected suicide.
Lacy was facing charges in a hit-and-run for an incident that left a 78-year-old man dead in December.
A grand jury in Louisiana was set to hear evidence in the December accident case on Monday.
According to a news release from Louisiana State Police, Lacy was allegedly driving a 2023 Dodge Charger on Louisiana Highway 20 and "recklessly passed multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed by crossing the centerline and entering the northbound lane while in a designated no-passing zone.
