Two former Penn State football players initially included in one of several class-action lawsuits filed Tuesday have removed their names from the suit, saying they didn't know they would be suing their university or its conference.

Former Nittany Lions players James Boyd and Eric Ravotti said (via CBS Sports) that they were unaware the university would be named as a defendant in the suit filed in the Northern District of Illinois.
"I am keenly aware of the evidence of long-term damage from concussions and generally support ongoing research and investigation of the subject," Boyd said in a statement.
