Football and cricket face lawsuit threat over ‘atrocious’ transgender policies

The Football Association and the ECB are being warned of potential legal challenges arising from the Supreme Court ruling that trans women are not women.

Campaigners described a watershed moment in which governing bodies can no longer justify allowing male-born athletes to compete against women at any level.

Parkrun is among other sporting bodies attacked for their “atrocious” policies after Britain’s highest court ruled the legal definition of a woman is biological sex.

“I think heads need to roll in many sport national governing bodies who have worked against women deliberately,” Sharron Davies, the former Olympic swimmer, told Telegraph Sport.
