DALLAS — David Branch waited a long time to return to the UFC but now he’s back in the win column after eking out a split decision over top 10 ranked middleweight Krzysztof Jotko.
While it wasn’t the most exciting affair, Branch did what he had to do to get the win while using a grappling-heavy attack to ground Jotko’s striking over three rounds.
A high-level submission specialist, Branch waited for an opening to dive forward and take Jokto to the mat about two minutes into the first round, but he couldn’t hold him there for very long.
