Mike Trout sprained his left thumb Sunday when he stole second base. X-rays were negative, but he is scheduled to undergo an MRI today.
There's no way to completely replace Trout, but take a look at Scott Schebler (15 HR, 29 RBI, 48.7 percent ownership) or Ender Inciarte (nine stolen bases, .335 OBP, 37.7 ownership). They could server as possible stopgaps in the event Trout does land on the DL.
Joe Mauer reached base a seven times in Minnesota’s loss to Tampa Bay Sunday. He is the first Twin since Rod Carew in 1972 to reach safely that many times.
