Reaction to Colin Kaepernick's protest during the national anthem continues to be a polarizing subject.
Many players support Kaepernick's right to express his feelings about race in America by not standing during the national anthem, but a former teammate says it's "shameful" and he would have confronted the 49ers quarterback.

"... We probably would have had a problem on the sideline," said Vikings guard Alex Boone, who played with Kaepernick for five seasons.
According to ESPN, Boone's brother served with the Marines in Iraq.
