Former NFL offensive coordinator Greg Olson is in the mix to become Purdue University’s next head football coach.
Two sources told Sporting News that Olson has interviewed for the vacancy created by last month’s firing of Darrell Hazell. Olson also was dismissed from his job last month when axed as the Jaguars' offensive coordinator following the team's 2-5 start. The move didn’t create a spark as the Jags (2-7) have lost both subsequent contests since assistant Nate Hackett assumed the play-calling responsibilities.
