Eric Lindros, Pat Quinn lead 2016 Hockey Hall of Fame class

Eric Lindros' long wait for a spot in the Hockey Hall of Fame is over.

Lindros was one of four men named to the Hall of Fame's Class of 2016 on Monday, joining Sergei Makarov, Rogie Vachon and longtime NHL coach and executive Pat Quinn.

This was Lindros' sixth time under consideration for the honor by the 18-member selection committee, and the 1995 Hart Trophy winner as the NHL's most valuable player finally made the cut. Lindros, 43, tallied 372 goals and 493 assists in 760 games with the Flyers, Rangers, Maple Leafs and Stars from 1992-2007.
