Top class of 2022 recruit Emoni Bates decommitted from Michigan State and is open to college or professional options, Bates announced on Instagram.
The high school phenom verbally committed to the Spartans on June 29, 2020 on ESPN, and even then, he hinted at the idea of not even attending the school. If the league changes its one-and-done rule, which has been proposed, Bates could forgo college and go straight into the NBA.
"I'm not sure what the future may hold, but I do know right now I will be committing to Michigan State," he said when he announced his commitment.
