Dwight Howard goes Superman, honors Kobe at dunk contest

CHICAGO — Dwight Howard kept us waiting. Kept us guessing. Hours before his participation in Saturday night’s NBA dunk contest, he wouldn’t reveal whether Superman would be “in the building.” He wouldn’t reveal whether a Kobe Bryant tribute was in the works.

Turns out, they both were – on the same dunk.

On his second dunk of the first round, Howard stripped off his jersey to reveal a Superman outfit. He threw on a cape. Then he ripped open the Superman top to reveal a second Superman logo – but this one with a No.
