MONTREAL—Didier Drogba was not called into the Montreal Impact’s 18-man roster for their derby game with Toronto FC on Sunday, raising concerns of a possible rift between the Ivorian forward and the Impact.
The club has explained Drogba’s exclusion as being because of back problems, but according to a report from local channel RDS, Drogba has had a falling out with coach Mauro Biello. Rumours earlier in the week linked the 38-year-old forward with a move to Serie A.
Team is saying it's due to a bad back...conflicting reports tells us something is going on in Montreal.
