ARLINGTON, Texas — If the Dallas Cowboys are looking for a sign that this 2015 season could be special, this didn't seem like a bad way to start.
But a Week 1 victory was soured by news that Dez Bryant is expected to miss four to six weeks with a broken foot, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones confirmed Sunday night.
Without Bryant on the field, Tony Romo led Dallas on a six-play, 72-yard game-winning drive, capped off with a touchdown pass to veteran tight end Jason Witten with seven seconds remaining.
The 27-26 victory over the New York Giants at AT&T Stadium marked the 24th fourth-quarter comeback victory engineered by Romo, who could be poised for his best season yet.
