Don’t let the box score fool you — Klay Thompson was great in Game 1

It was just the latest poor shooting game for Thompson in this postseason, where he's shooting 36 percent from the floor and only 33 percent from distance after a 3-of-16 night Thursday.

But don't presume that because Thompson wasn't an offensive factor in Game 1 that he was a detriment to the Warriors' effort. He was quite the opposite, in fact: Outside of Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry, you could argue that Thompson provided some of the Warriors' most important contributions Thursday.

Thompson turned in a virtuoso performance on the defensive end in Game 1.
