Ownership of the Miami Dolphins is just the tip of the iceberg that is Stephen Ross' business practice.
The 75-year-old happens to be founder and chairman of The Related Companies, a New York-based real estate firm. He also happens to be feisty.
At a Real Estate Board of New York executive committee meeting this month, Ross and 46-year-old Tishman Speyer CEO Rob Spyer reportedly got into a "heated exchange" over an expired tax exemption.

Witnesses told Crain's New York Business that Ross "objected" to Speyer's notion to reinstate the exemption.
