Diddy claims self-defense in UCLA assault arrest

A representative for Sean “Diddy” Combs told the Associated Press that the rap mogul was acting in “self-defense” during his alleged altercation with a UCLA conditioning coach.

“The various accounts of the event and charges that are being reported are wholly inaccurate,” Nathalie Moar, a rep for Combs Enterprises, said in a statement to The Associated Press. “What we can say now is that any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son.”

Combs was arrested on Monday by UCLA police after allegedly swinging a kettlebell at Sal Alosi, whose previous coaching stints include a stop at the New York Jets.
