Tensions are getting hot in the desert as the Diamondbacks are threatening to leave Chase Field in downtown Phoenix after Maricopa County failed to approve $187 million in stadium repairs requested by the team.
According to multiple reports, county officials sent a denial letter to the D-backs on Wednesday stating that taxpayers built the facility with $238 million in sales taxes and they would not be left with an empty stadium before the 30-year lease expired.
