Former New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter believes former franchise owner George Steinbrenner III deserves to be in the Hall of Fame, according to Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News.
"Do I think (Steinbrenner) should be (in the Hall of Fame)? Of course. I think he's arguably one of the greatest owners in all of sports," Jeter said. “Why he's not, you have (to ask) some guys that vote."
Former Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig and longtime executive John Schuerholz were added to the Hall of Fame by the 16-person Today's Game Era Committee.
