Deontay Wilder broke his four-day silence and congratulated Tyson Fury after their heavyweight battle for the ages on Saturday. Fury won via knockout in the 11th round, giving him the 2-0-1 series victory. The fight was deemed an instant classic by fans.
Fury told BT Sports Box Office that Wilder told him he "didn't want to show any sportsmanship or respect" after the loss. It wasn't until an Instagram post on Thursday that Wilder acknowledged Fury for winning the battle.
