One man was killed and two others were injured Friday in a shooting at the weigh-in for Saturday's WBO European boxing card in Dublin, police confirmed.
The Associated Press reported two gunmen disguised as police officers opened fire with assault rifles inside the lobby of the Regency Hotel, the site of the weigh-in. The fighters were being weighed in a nearby ballroom. Witnesses said two other men, one of them disguised as a woman, were carrying handguns as they fled the scene, according to the AP.
"Emergency services responding to reports of a shooting discovered three men, all in their 20s or 30s, injured at the scene," a Garda statement read.
