Colombian forward Dayro Moreno is heading home.
Atletico Nacional announced Sunday that it has reached a pre-agreement with Moreno to join the team ahead of its 2017 Apertura season. Moreno will arrive from Club Tijuana, where he topped the Liga MX scoring chart in the recently concluded Apertura with 11 goals.
"Atletico Nacional informs that it has reached a pre-agreement with the Colombian forward Dayro Moreno for the 2017 campaign," a club news release read. "The player be present for medical exams this week in order to compete with the champion of America this year."
Nacional won the 2016 Copa Libertadores crown but has seen that success turn into a bit of a liability as top teams have scooped up much of its talent.
