Alabama's decision to start true freshman Jalen Hurts this season has caused a mass exodus from the quarterback position.
Redshirt sophomore David Cornwell on Wednesday became the third quarterback to announce his intent to transfer from the program, after Blake Barnett and Cooper Bateman.
"I've had the experience of a lifetime attending and graduating from the University of Alabama," Cornwell said on his Twitter feed. "I have made great friends and learned a lot from my coaches and teammates. I've celebrated all of our successes as a member of the team. At the same time, my dream is to get on the field and contribute.
