Daryl Worley, Raiders Agree on Contract; CB Was Cut by Eagles After Arrest

On Monday, the Oakland Raiders announced they signed free agent cornerback Daryl Worley.

Worley was available as a free agent because the Philadelphia Eagles announced they released him on April 15 following his arrest. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Worley was arrested "when he became combative with police." A gun was found at the scene, and Rapoport noted the cornerback was "found passed out inside a vehicle blocking a highway."

Worley played the 2016 and 2017 seasons with the Carolina Panthers, and the Eagles acquired him this offseason via trade for wide receiver Torrey Smith.
