Danica Patrick's run at Talladega was sideswiped by contact with Paul Menard during Sunday's first pit stop.
Patrick had moved into the top 10 in the Geico 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Talladega. Pitting among the leaders, Patrick was trying to cut across to her pit box early on pit road when she slid across the nose of Menard's car. The two made contact and ended stopped near the entrance to pit road, with Patrick nose first toward the wall.
