Leading up to the 2025 NFL draft, almost every mock draft you saw mentioned Ole Miss cornerback Trey Amos either as a first-round pick or an early second-round pick. Most believed the athletic 6-foot-1 SEC standout would land somewhere late in the first round, perhaps to the Washington Commanders.
For those who projected Amos to Washington were right, they were just a round late. Shockingly, Amos fell to the Commanders at No. 61 overall. General manager Adam Peters said he considered taking Amos at No. 29 overall, and there was no way he'd pass on Amos twice.
