After what had been a remarkable recovery from a blood clot, Damian Lillard found himself facing yet another scary injury situation on Sunday.
Just minutes into the Bucks' Game 4 loss to the Pacers in the first round of the NBA playoffs, Lillard went down with a non-contact injury as he prepared to step towards a loose ball. In real time, it looked like an Achilles injury, and those concerns were confirmed on Monday with Lillard being ruled out for the playoffs (and in all likelihood, next season).
An Achilles tear is a tough blow for any player — especially one who turns 35 in July — but the Bucks star offered a hopeful reaction on Monday.
