Dale Earnhardt Jr. falls victim to crash amid downforce reductions he touted

Dale Earnhardt Jr., a huge supporter of reducing downforce on Sprint Cup cars, fell victim to NASCAR's changes at Michigan.

Junior got clipped by Chris Buescher, who slipped up the track and knocked Earnhardt into the wall on Lap 61 in Sunday's race. He then into AJ Allmendinger's car.

Earnhardt took his car to the garage, frustrated as his day ended early. Buescher appeared to lose control while going low into a turn.

"We have a lot of problems," he told crew chief Greg Ives on team radio.
