Curt Schilling Off Little League Broadcast After ‘Unacceptable’ Tweet

Curt Schilling, the ESPN baseball analyst and former Boston Red Sox pitcher, was pulled from a Little League World Series broadcast on Tuesday because of a post on his Twitter account that connected Muslim extremism to Nazi Germany. Against a picture of Adolf Hitler saluting, the post read: “It’s said only 5-10 percent of Muslims are extremists. In 1940, only 7% of Germans were Nazis. How’d that go?” Above the meme, Schilling wrote, “The math is staggering when you get to true #’s.”

He quickly deleted it.

In a statement, ESPN said: “Curt’s tweet was completely unacceptable, and in no way represents our company’s perspective.
